Nicky de Groot works as a lawyer at Pallas Employment Lawyers. She provides advice and litigates on all aspects of employment law.

She offers strategic advice on complex cases and is proficient in the fields of flexible employment relationships, terms and conditions of employment, mass redundancy and individual dismissal, restructuring, employee participation, business transitions, secondments (national and international) and the legal status of directors under articles of association.

Nicky regularly gives presentations in the field of employment law and participates in international panels on Dutch employment law with an international focus.

Nicky is active within AIJA (Association International des Jeunes Avocats) and is Vice-President of AIJA’s Labour Law and Immigration Commission.

In 2016, Nicky successfully completed the specialist course in Employment Law at the Grotius Academy.

Nicky has recently participated in the Digital Future Society Think Tank and collaborated on the report ‘The Future of Work in the Digital Era: The rise of labour platforms’.

Nicky is a member of:

  • the Dutch Bar Association,
  • the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN),
  • the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA).

Nicky registered the following areas of law in the register of disciplines of the Dutch Bar Association:

    • Employee participation

This registration implies that ten continuing education credits must be obtained for every area of law registered, according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
